Marvin J. Gable, age 92, was the widower of Margie Parker Gable and the son of the late Henry H. and Lena Mae McKellar Gable. He is survived by two daughters, Jean Woodle of Greenwood and Phyllis Caldwell (Mark) of Lowrys; one brother, Reverend James Gable (Sharon) of York; two sisters, Deannie Brown of Union and Mae Keas of Raleigh, NC; five grand-children, Kell Benson, Lisa Bass, Shannon Lawson (Amy Crouch), Dana Dempsey (Denny), Nona Woodle; six great-grand-children, Miranda, Zane, Lilli, Mary Addison, Parker and McKellar; two great-great-grand-children, Rhealynn and Ronin. Mr. Gable was preceded in death by three brothers, Milton, Alfred, Junior Gable; two sisters, Estele Caudle and Zelma Hill and one grand-son, Steven Caldwell.
Mr. Gable attended the Fountain on Life Church of God. He was retired from Springs Industries and he was a member of Sandy River Masonic Lodge and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Reverend Chris Snelgrove conducted the funeral at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home. The Burial was in Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery with Masonic rites.
