Myrtle Gaston, 84, gained her angel wings Saturday night and went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was the widow of Ray R. Gaston and the daughter of the late Claudie H. and Bertha Helms Hefner. Mrs. Gaston was of the Christian faith.
She was a retired spinner, having worked many years for Springs Industries-Katherine Plant.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Gaston of Richburg; daughter-in-law with whom she made her home, Terri Gaston; one son, Danny Gaston (Jane) of Gaffney, SC; one sister, Ollie Mobley of Richburg; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grand-children. Mrs. Gaston was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Gaston, 2 brothers, Milas Hefner and Frank Tartlon and 1 great-granddaughter, Ashley Blackmon.
Reverend John Ladd will conduct her graveside service at Lando Cemetery, 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5th. The family will greet friends at the cemetery immediately after the service.
