Richard Wayne Freeman of 1168 Crooked Creek Lane passed away Wednesday at his home. He was 65 and the husband of Daylon “Dale” Crouch Freeman of the home. He is also survived by his daughter, Leeann Freeman; one brother, Butch Freeman of Ft. Mill; three sisters, Rachel Collins of Chesapeake, Va., Judy Ramsey of Chester, Pat Stancil (Boyce) of Concord, NC; grand-children, Brittany Betha (Don), Cheyanne Cooper, R.J. Cooper, Austin Cooper, Summer Betha, Jayden Theron Betha, baby AJ, great-grand-children, Heaven Betha, Sophia Betha.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Crystal Freeman and Dana Freeman Cooper; two brothers, Gerald and Lee Freeman of Chester; two sisters Shirley Jacobs and Mickey Anderson; one grandson, A.J. Betha; one great-grandson, J-Nick Freeman; one son-in-law, Nick Hanna; and his parents, Leonard L. and Eva Burnett Freeman.
Mr. Freeman was a Christian and was retired from his roofing business in Chester, Freeman Roofing.
Visitation for Mr. Freeman will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22nd at Pollard Funeral Home. The funeral will be held graveside, 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 23rd in Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Chris Ballard will officiate. The family is gathering at the home, 1168 Crooked Creek Lane in Chester.
