Scott David Quick, 59, of Rock Hill, S.C., formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away January 31, 2022, at his residence following a six-year battle with cancer.
He was born August 20, 1962, in Lima, Ohio. His parents were Norman and Virginia Quick, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Quick was a graduate of Worthington High School and attended Ohio University. He worked for many years in the music business, touring with such acts as Pink Floyd and The Grateful Dead. He later worked for Honda of American Manufacturing in Marysville, Ohio, then relocated to the Carolinas after his retirement. His lifelong love of music was second only to his love for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Buff; his stepmother, Evelyn Quick of Dublin, Ohio; a sister, Jan Avery (Tom) of Lima, Ohio; a daughter, Lauren Todd (Wes) of Auburn, Ala.; a son, Ian Quick (Carissa Hays) of Centerburg, Ohio; a granddaughter, Magnolia Rose Quick; step-children Mykah Buff, Nikki (Mike) Melton; step-grandchildren Taylor, Troy, and Chris; and many other family members and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and location to be determined. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association and the Humane Society of York County.
