William L. Bland

William L. Bland, 65, passed away Friday in MUSC-Lancaster. He was the son of the late George W. and Minnie Benson Bland. He was the husband of Anita S. Bland of the home. Also surviving are his 6 sons, Chris Bland of Georgia, George W. Showalter of Massachusetts, William L. Bland, Jr. of Colorado, David L. Bland  of Chester, Richard Bland of W. Columbia, Jon Hall of Chester; 5 daughters  Pamela B. Clark of Georgia, Melissa Locklear of Chester, Peggy Hinson of Shelby, Donna Bland of Chester, Theresa Lewis, NC; 3 brothers, George B. Bland, Sr., Jimmy M. Bland, Richard E. Bland, Sr., all of Chester; 1 sister, Barbara Jo Bland of Chester, 2 sisters in-law, Peggy Stapleton (Scott),  Darlene Greene (Dennis) both of Chester; 32 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his Chihuahua, Baby Girl.

William was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Jessica L. Bland, 1 brother Robert W. Bland, 1 sister Kathy Jean Bland, 1 son Timothy Bland.

He was a talented drums, guitar and piano classic rock & country musician. William was a former member of The Carolina Music Makers Band and The Straight-Shot Band.

The funeral for William will be by officiated by Pastor Jonathon Pannell, 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5th, at the Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, 998 Dunlap Roddey Road in Rock Hill SC 29730.

The family is gathering at the home, 575 Pryor Street.

The death of William was unexpected, and the family is understandably shocked by this loss. If you knew William, you know how much he touched the lives of those around him.
